About the Event

This webinar highlighted best practices for developing partnerships with other transit agencies and non-profit organizations to increase service options using non-traditional methods. The presenters shared experiences and lessons learned from mobility management around Wisconsin. The webinar also featured a Q&A session and discussion among participants.

Mobility management focuses on meeting the needs of individual customers—including older adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with lower incomes—through a wide range of coordinated transportation options and service providers.

Presenters

  • Norah Cashin, Transportation Manager, Dane County Department of Human Services, Madison, Wisconsin
  • Carrie Porter, Older Americans Act Consultant - Transportation Specialist, Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources
  • Joan Willshire (facilitator), Executive Director, Minnesota State Council on Disability

Sponsors

This webinar is sponsored by the Minnesota Council on Transportation Access (MCOTA), which was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2010 to "study, evaluate, oversee, and make recommendations to improve the coordination, availability, accessibility, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety of transportation services provided to the transit public."
